DEPARTMENTAL NOTICES: The Department of Romance Languages and Literature annually sponsors two year-abroad programs in France. In order to participate in the traditional year-abroad experience in which undergraduate students study in a French university (in our program, the Universite du Toulon), STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE FRENCH 318D (FOR WHICH SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF FRENCH 307D IS A PREREQUISITE) in the Spring semester, with French 325C or 326C, and one of the following courses: French 215, 216, 311, 319, or 320. In order to participate in the Internship in European Business program, offered in conjunction with the Centre d'Echanges Internationaux and the Ecole Europeenne des Affaires, STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE FRENCH 310 (FOR WHICH FRENCH 307D IS A PREREQUISITE), Economics 103B and 104B, Accounting 261, and are strongly urged to take at least one semester of French conversation and French 311. Unless otherwise indicated, the following 400 level courses are conducted in French and have as prerequisites French 307D, 308D, 325C, and 326C. The 500 level courses are open only to graduate students.
