An English major is required to take two courses chosen from E Lit 211C, 212C/215, 241C, and 242C; one of these must be 211C or 241C. This means that any combination except 212C/215 and 242C will satisfy the requirement. If a student should take a third (any third) from these four courses it will count as 3 units toward the 24 required for the major. An English minor must take two courses chosen from E Lit 211C, 212C/215, and 241C. There is no prerequisite, but students with writing problems or with little experience in writing are advised to satisfy the E Comp 100 requirement before enrolling in one of these courses.
NOTE: 500-level seminars are available to graduate students only.
