Info:
DEPARTMENTAL NOTICES: With the permission of the department, any composition course may be taken a second time for credit, but see department for Writing Minor requirements. Preregistration alone does not guarantee a place in writing courses; students must attend the first class or risk being dropped from the course. Courses in the 300 series are intended both for majors and nonmajors. Unless otherwise stated, the prerequisite is 6 units of sophomore literature or junior standing or written permission of the instructor. Since topics change from semester, a few of these courses may be taken more than once; check with the department. Courses in the 400 series are open to students with junior standing and 6 units of literature.

NOTE: 200 and 300 level writing classes require successful completion of Writing 1, and may also require permission of the instructor. Review the pre-reqs for each course before enrolling. Courses at the 500 level are open to graduate students only.
