Info:
Art history provides the opportunity to explore visual culture, as well as social, aesthetic and personal values that help shape it. Students are introduced to the study of art history and archaeology through general introductory courses that focus on European, Asian, and American art, and world archaeology. In more advanced courses, students enjoy studying original works of art owned by the Washington University Gallery of Art, the Saint Louis Art Museum, and local private collections.
For questions about our program or how to major in Art History, please contact Melissa Miller in the Department of Art History and Archaeology office located in Steinberg Hall, Room 206. You may reach us by phone at 935-5270.
